Brigham City Temple

Brigham City Temple

My daughters, Sparkle and Spice had a wonderful experience with their Japanese Exchange student, Hana as our Stake YW participated in a 13 + mile Temple Trek to the Brigham City, UT Temple. We are so pleased with them!! They worked so hard in their preparations. They were in a group of girls from our Ward with some of their leaders and were leading the whole crowd and were actually told to STOP! LOL It made me laugh! They were told that they were about 90 minutes ahead of schedule. GOOD JOB GIRLS!

They have been training for this for about 2 months. They were picked up at 5:30 am and got there just after 10 am. Sparkle told me that she had to go to the bathroom so badly the last 5 miles that she actually ducked into a construction site's porta potty so she didn't burst! They just didn't quite have the bathroom stations set up for them because of their speed. What a happy day.

My husband suggested that I wake up early and make them a nice breakfast, which I did. Farm fresh eggs with ham and a bit of cheese, sauted onions and garlic all wrapped up with a warmed tortilla along with a fresh smoothie. Delish! Then, I shared with them some stories from our ancestor's history. Many of the early Brigham City settlers were our ancestors. I feel that they would be happy to escort my daughters into town and be with them. I know that they are so HAPPY to finally have a beautiful Temple in their town.

If you haven't yet reserved tickets to go to the Brigham City Temple, you can still do so! They begin on August 18th. You can make those reservations by going to www.templeopenhouse.lds.org or by calling 1-855-537-2000. (toll free) Tours are free and all ages are welcome. The tour will include a short video and a 40 minute walking tour. Modest attire is recommended. I think most will be in Sunday best but if you don't feel want to wear that, you can go what you feel comfortable in. The Brigham City Temple address is 250 S Main St. Brigham City, UT

I am so happy the girls will also have the opportunity to be in the Temple Celebration wearing beautiful Spanish costumes, singing and dancing! What a fantastic honor for them!

I am humbled at the tremendous love our Heavenly Father has for every single one of His children. It doesn't matter who you are, where you live in the world, what you have done or haven't done. He. Loves. You.

If you are not a member of the LDS Faith, I want to assure you that you can go to this Temple Open House without worry of being run over by missionaries. They will be there to answer any questions but they will not be proselyting. Rest assured, you will be comfortable. People will be friendly, not over bearing to you.

Tours only go until September 15th, so head on over to that website and make your reservations!
